I've spent time in sunny California, snowy Upstate New York, scalding Arizona and now I call Boston home. I recently graduated from Simmons College with a Masters of Fine Art in Writing for Children.
Throughout my life I have taken a variety of photography classes and writing workshops which have all influenced where I am today. I enjoy capturing the world, whether on film, on paper or with vintage items.
What I write: Middle-grade historical fiction, contemporary young adult, alternative history, memoir, non-fiction magazine writing, and more.
My passion for books is evident if you just take a look at my overflowing bookshelves. If someone were to write a horror story about books taking over the world I guarantee that it would begin in my apartment.
Not only do I read and write, but I like to blog about those things too. Currently I'm working on a middle-grade historical fiction novel that is set in Rochester, NY during WWII. I am also working on a young adult contemporary realism project set in Tucson, AZ. I like to flip back and forth every now and then to give my brain a little vacation.

Using vintage and funky finds I create a variety of different jewelry including necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. My favorite materials include: silk, wood beads, and vintage buttons.

I love the natural and manmade world. Both of them have a unique beauty of their own. My photography is inspired by vintage signs, antiques, old barns & buildings, and much more. I find beauty in everyday items that sometimes get overlooked when we rush around. I try to let my work showcase the world we may sometimes miss.
